A Reformed Web wraith of no ether ordination, yet ethereally ordained – responsible to all and Internet shepherd to none, for I yet find Internet proffering of ‘office’ (whether legal, pastoral, or medical) muchly an aberration of Biblical proportions (even as I value the would-be identity of many fish in the Net). A wise man once said, “btw, forget the Dr. … business. I appreciate the manners. But I’m just a duffer in the blogosphere” – dgh.
I am a life-long Reformed follower of Christ by trade (He died for me) and a Southerner by fealty (she died for me), a virtual Protestant monk (though a bad one), and a conservative radical. I’m still mostly a Confederate Democrat and never a Lincoln Republican.
I like God, the Church, holy writ, silence, working a bit of green earth, rain, music, the creative arts, chocolate pudding pie, and regularly bending an ear to smell the colour nine.
I am epistemologically challenged, in a verbose sort of way, yet consider myself philosophically jocund (hmmm… a Clarkasproulian?), somewhat theologically rounded (hmm… I’ve visited both Mass and prison), and rounded in most other ways as well (as the world gets smaller for us all), too often by myself as well as others. I think God laughs a lot, but that He usually isn’t sarcastic about it like I Am.
Oh, and I don’t usually have a pet, except imaginatively, but several pets have me, and I am appreciative of them, though they don’t often tell me their names or even come anywhere near me if they can help it… well, except for the neighbour’s dog, what moved away, but who often had a fond attachment to whatever I seemed to be eating whenever I ate it or it could be detected that it had been eaten (perhaps only mostly, as I so imagined from wide-eyed hope, for what more constant hope exists than that of an expectant dog? I don’t know, maybe it was enough for him to relish in my happiness, but my hope of it may be false).
